Jack.org Wellness Initiatives
Holy Name of Mary College School’s Jack.Org Wellness Group planned an exciting month of activities. Jack.org is Canada's only charity training and empowering young leaders to address mental health in every province and territory. It does this through three globally-recognized programs: Jack Talks; Jack Summits; and Jack Chapters.
On November 5, they hosted an event to promote student wellness. On November 16, the group led a free choice wellness Chapel period, where the whole student body had the opportunity to participate in a wellness activity of their choice. Activities included benchball, yoga, mindful meditation, calming colouring, knitting and board games. During this period, students of different grade levels spent time together relaxing and de-stressing with people they don’t usually get to see.
