In July, Kaitlin Van Eyk ‘21 and Mahalia Lotz ‘21 travelled to Michigan to participate in the Felician Sisters, Seeds of Hope: Felician Youth Leadership Experience. The girls had the opportunity to work alongside Sisters and young women from other Felician sponsored High Schools across North America. They participated in a day of service and provided outreach to the homeless and marginalized populations of Detroit. The girls also developed a plan to create sleeping mats for shelters to ensure that the sleeping conditions are hygienic and comfortable.

During the 2018-19 school year, these two passionate girls will continue their project in hopes of providing mats for the St. Felix Centre, another Felician sponsored ministry in downtown Toronto.
