The Fall brings cross-country running and with that a number of different competitions for each of our cross-country teams.
The varsity cross-country team welcomed St Mildred’s Lightbourn School onto our campus for a dual meet between the two schools. The beautiful surroundings of our campus and in particular the Sisters’ Path provided for an excellent route and morning of running. Our varsity team competed in distances of 4 - 6 kilometers. A special mention for Geneva Watson ‘25 for her empathic win in the Grade 9 race.
The U14 cross-country team travelled to Boyd Conservation Area in Woodbridge to compete in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) meet. Despite the cold and wet conditions, every single runner did an amazing job and beat each of their personal bests. A special mention goes to Lauren Blanchette ‘27 who finished 6th from 87 runners within the U13 race.
The U12 cross-country team has the fortunate opportunity to compete in a number of virtual cross-country races against a large number of schools within both the Private School Athletic Association (PSAA) and the CISAA in the coming weeks.
Huge congratulations to each of our runners who showed admirable determination and fantastic willpower throughout the duration of the season and in particular within their competitive races.
