Both middle and high school are transformative years in girls' lives, and we recognize that. So with transformation beginning with the heart, we look to cultivate that quality in our girls, who have the heart to take on the challenges necessary to change. We remember the wise words of Dolores Huerta, who, at 90, continues to lead with community: “Every moment is an organizing opportunity, every person is a potential activist, every minute a chance to change the world.”

Our girls at HNMCS see their role and opportunity in life to bring a positive impact to a community larger than themselves. At HNMCS we are helping to create thinkers. Our girls are taking in knowledge, processing their personal understanding, communicating their thoughts, questions and ideas, and sharing out their ideas through real life application, personalized projects, conversations, debates, and group discussions/projects. Our hope is that today’s HNMCS students become tomorrow’s leaders in all fields and areas of study.

As our vision statement says we are, “Building a Connected Community dedicated to developing Curious, Courageous and Compassionate young women”. Our belief at HNMCS is that once you have been a part of our community, you remain a part of our community. We have alumnae that do lunch and learns, key notes speeches, one on one calls with current students, university sessions, and scholarship sessions. Our graduates believe in the school.

Now is the time for transformation, our newest core value: it is the act or process of transforming; the state of being transformed; change in form, appearance, nature, or character. We feel the addition of this core value is a key component to our next stage of growth: spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.
