On Monday, May 8th, the Grade 7s and 8s waved goodbye to HNMCS and boarded a coach bus for a five day trip to Boston. This marked the return of the Grade 7/8 Middle School Trip - an international travel experience where intermediate students have the opportunity to experience the history and culture of an American city, all while strengthening their friendships with each other outside of the classroom.
This year's trip included a scenic bus tour of downtown Boston and a guided walk along the Freedom Trail, where the girls had the chance to learn about some of the major events leading up to the American Revolution. As well, the girls toured the campus of Harvard University and explored various shopping districts around the city. For evening entertainment, they went on a ghost tour around Salem, watched the on-stage antics of the Blue Man Group and enjoyed a scenic dinner cruise around the Boston Harbour.
As always, the Grade 7/8 Middle School Trip was a memorable one, and we look forward to doing it again next spring!
