HNMCS Triumphs in French Regional Speech Contest
On Monday, March 4, 2024 four students from Holy Name of Mary College School, showcased their eloquence and their talent in public speaking in French at the Regional French Speech Contest held at Branksome Hall School.
Jessica particularly stood out in the Impromptu category, securing the second-place position. Her captivating performance impressed both the audience and the judges, demonstrating her ease in spontaneously addressing various topics in French. Martina also brought honour to HNMCS by finishing second in the Impromptu category. Her speech showcased her mastery of the subject and expressive skills.
In the Traditional category, Gabriella delivered a speech titled "Is it truly beneficial for children's development to spend time in camp?" Her thoughtful reflection and engaging presentation earned praise and highlighted her intellectual maturity. Chelsea also participated in the Traditional category with her speech titled "Different Etiquette Rules Across the World." Her profound understanding of cultural nuances and eloquence garnered acclaim from the judging panel.
